Steve was born in Liverpool, England and was brought up during the heyday of Beatlemania.  “Liverpool seemed to me to be the coolest place on the planet at the time – music and musicians everywhere, you could not help but get caught up in the excitement”

By his own admission, Steve played way too much guitar in college and only narrowly managed to graduate with a degree in Economics.  Having an interest in technology, he stumbled into computer programming eventually being hired by a consulting company in New York to work as a contract programmer on Wall Street.  He still played guitar when he could and his band the xCeptions were often seen in East Village clubs.

“My musical influences are too numerous to mention, but definitely include 60’s era blues guitarists (Clapton, Beck, Page – and Jimi changed everything!) but also jazz guitarists like Joe Pass and some Spanish and classical influences."

His other interests include flying (he owns 3 planes, one of which he built himself), racing catamarans (he has competed in several world class events), and snowboarding which he shares with the rest of his family.
